Guns at the George Judd Auction

We have 5 guns that will be sold at the Auction. Two will be sold on Saturday, the 15th, and three will be sold on Saturday, the 22nd.

The two for Saturday, the 15th:   1.  A curly maple full stock percussion rifle with a 39″ barrel. It has a two screw pointed tang.                      2.  A signed Jamestown 1/2 stock rifle. The maker is Henry Wright.

The three for Saturday, the 22nd:   1.  A 20 gauge Winchester Model 370 angle barrel.    2.  A 410 gauge Iver Johnson single barrel with a full choke.   3.  An 1844 Springfield rifle. Smooth bore.

Judd Auction Sale Details

The Auction Sale for the George Judd Estate will be held at the homeplace, 2088 NC Hwy 801 South, Advance, North Carolina on two weekends, November 15-16 and 22-23. The Saturday hours are 9:00 am until everything is sold, and the Sunday hours are 12:00 noon until everything is sold. Previews are one hour before the sale on each of those days.

The auctioneer for the event is Lynn Myers, Myers Auction Service, East Bend, North Carolina, NCAL 6647.

There is no buyer’s premium, and there are no hidden reserves. Everything will be sold.

Parking is adjacent to the cabin, south of the house, and will be clearly indicated. There will be food concessions on the grounds and restaurants within minutes. There is a Hampton Inn and a Holiday Inn Express within a short drive from the sale. The Hwy 801 intersection with I40 is a major intersection just 10 minutes from the sale.

Kentucky sugar chest, cherry with poplar bottom. Inlaid curly maple stars, vines. Chamfered corners. All original with second generation finish. Circa 1790-1810.

Winston-Salem Estate Auction

Image 18September 6, 2014 —- On Saturday, September 6, we are having an auction sale of the furnishings and personal property at 1702 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem. This is a multi-generation sale in a home built by Lawrence Staley who started the Staley’s Steak Houses. The entrance to the sale is through the Graylyn gates that were originally part of the Gray family’s estate. Please refer to auction zip for photographs of the sale items. Sterling silver, guns, coins, cars, ceramics and  North Carolina pottery, glassware, jewelry, vintage clothing, a beautiful Belgian rug, World War II items, paintings, photographs, and so many more objects will be sold.

The sale will benefit the Forsyth Humane Society, a great organization that protects our special friends.
